The Great Lakes Conference is a Michigan association dedicated to fostering uniform and effective laws affecting food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, and consumer products. We foster a participatory process for law and policy development. We encourage and support programs that contribute to food safety and consumer protection.
The Great Lakes Conference on Food Protection’s (GLCFP) mission is to encourage uniformity in the enactment and enforcement of laws affecting foods, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, and consumer products.
We are dedicated to the goals of Conference for Food Protection (CFP), the international Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO), and the regional affiliate, the North Central Association of Food and Drug Officials (NCAFDO).
GLCFP provides opportunities for members to meet and develop effective working relationships with leaders from regulated industries; municiple, state, provincial, and federal regulatory agencies; and professionals from universities and research institution. The exchange of knowledge and ideas is stimulating and productive.
Through committee work, training courses, and ongoing networking, GLCFP partners keep up-to-date on new developments, regulatory changes, and the latest news in food and consumer protection.
